Adventure Tours .....
The town of Campbell River has been described by media as being one of the best places in the world for wildlife meeting civilization. This statement has been a much-guarded secret with the residents of the town for many years.
Jacque Cousteau reported the Discovery Passage as being the best place in the world for diving, second only to the Red Sea. Campbell River has been promoted "Salmon Capital of the World" for a good reason. Still today salmon fishing in our waters remains to be some of the best in the world. Recently the caves of the North Island have been discovered to exceed over 1000 entrances. Some of these cave systems having been mapped at over 8km in length so far and still going. Nimpkish Lake has become a popular spot for windsurfing, attracting attention from surfers all over the world during the summer months. Sailing, kayaking, Snorkeling, Skiing, Hiking, flight Seeing, Fossil hunting the list goes on and on.
On the Campbell River, this thrilling, once in a lifetime adventure has been featured in over 110 magazines and newspapers worldwide. Unique to the Campbell River and Paradise Found Adventures, we assist you in donning a 7 mm neoprene wet suit, then outfit you in a mask, fins, snorkel, hood and booties. Then we drive to the river where you enter the water with your guide for 2 floats down the Campbell, each about 2.5 km long.
The tour takes 4 hours and all gear and guides are supplied. The only thing you need bring with you is an adventurer's spirit and a bathing suit and towel. The season is from July 15th to the end of October, when the salmon are migrating up river.

Hikers and day-trekkers can be easily entertained with a choice of literally thousands of hiking trails that are easily accessible and close to many of the small communities along the coast. Here we sit on the 49th parallel and we have a lake that has icebergs in it all year round! As a matter of fact, in September during a exceptionally dry summer, the icebergs were still there!
